Chico Freeman is a heavyweight in the world of jazz! The multiinstrumentalist, composer and producer is constantly on the search for new ways of expression to continue the heritage and the tradition of jazz in a new style. The musical collaborations read like a „Who’s Who“ of music history: Charles Mingus, Joe Henderson, Earth Wind & Fire, Wynton Marsalis, Roy Haynes, Eddie Palmieri, Arturo Sandoval, Hank Jones, Eurythmics, The Temptations, The Four Tops, to name but a few. He now appears at Blue Note Milano with his new project, the trio with the Swiss percussionist Reto Weber and cellist Svante Henryson.
