With 85 albums, as well as Grammies and awards to his credit, Bob James will be on stage with David Sanborn, one of the most successful and inspiring saxophonists of all time. Among the best studio drummers of the world, Steve Gadd and master bassist James Genus will accompany them on stage.
The first creative collaboration between keyboardist-composer-arranger Bob James and alto saxophonist David Sanborn, a quarter century ago, was the million-selling GRAMMY Award-winning album Double Vision. Over the ensuing years, the mega-stars not infrequently discussed the notion of a follow-up. But only now, with the release of Quartette Humaine, has that aspiration reached fruition. Quartette Humaine pays tribute to the late iconic pianist-composer David Brubeck, putting a prime spotlight on his work that featured alto saxophonist Paul Desmond.
Don’t miss these two influential and timeless artists share the stage in what will surely be an amazing night of jazz at its very best.
