Bill Evans & The Vans Band All Stars ft. John Medeski, Keith Carlock, Felix Pastorius

Inventive, contemporary, and masterful. These are some of the words that have been used to describe the musicians in this “one of a kind“ group assembled by renaissance saxophonist Bill Evans (Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Soulgrass). Bill has had a successful solo career for over 30 years and continues to innovate with fresh ensembles. John Medeski is a pioneer and keyboard legend. (Medeski, Martin & Wood, Mad Skillet, Phil Lesh ). Keith Carlock has been at the helm of some of todays biggest bands (Sting, Steely Dan, John Mayer).  Felix Pastorius has been on the cutting edge of electric bass for over two decades (David Byrne, Cindy Blackman-Santana, the Yellowjackets). They are all here because they want to be – creating music and connecting with audiences that can feel their contagious grooves and melodies. Bill has this to say, “We have all played together in different projects over the years, and we are very excited to finally  be on the same stage together, as a group, making music. We have talked about this combination of musicians for years and it’s finally happening!“ This group will be playing music from their collective backgrounds and influences – soul, funk, neo-jazz, pop. There are no boundaries.
