Barron is an NEA Jazz Master and nine-time Grammy nominee whose storied career has included extended associations with Stan Getz, Yusef Lateef and Freddie Hubbard in addition to his sparkling solo work. Off the bandstand, Barron has enjoyed a hugely influential tenure as a music professor at Rutgers University and the Julliard School of Music.
