A new tribute to Sarah Vaughan, one of the leading Afro-American jazz singers of the 20th century, an interpreter with a rich voice that ranged without difficulty from contralto to soprano.
During her long and varied career, Vaughan participated in the adventure of bebop, she sang with Count Basie’s orchestra and performed well known tunes from the great American songbook, in which Joyce presents in this tribute acompanied with a formidable trio, performing songs from Vaughan’s repertoire. A performance that combines the modern style of jazz along with the vintage vocal characteristics of the jazzy “Divine One”.
