American bass ace Victor Wooten and his band are coming to Blue Note Milano! The five time Grammy Award winner has played in front of ecstatic crowds all over the world!
The youngest of five brothers, Wooten started playing the bass guitar at an unlikely young age; his brother Regi began to teach him when he was only three years old! By the age of six, Victor was performing with his brothers in their family band, the Wooten Brothers Band, opening shows for the legendary soul artist Curtis Mayfield. Wooten has played in many progressive fusion bands, such as Bass Extremes (alongside Steve Bailey, Derico Watson, and Oteil Burbridge), The Vital Tech Tones (with Scott Henderson and Steve Smith), the Indian jazz fusion band Prasanna, and the Extraction trio (with Greg Howe and Dennis Chambers).
